Grids & scales
Half these are about scale lying to us on purpose — map projections, uncounted deaths, a chart that hides its own axis. The Retroid thing snuck in because I liked the hinge. Not every save needs a thesis.

Added the bicycle tour chart to Charted claims and I keep staring at the y-axis. It starts at 40, not 0, so the "steep climb" is doing a lot of visual work it didn't earn.

Not sure these two belong together yet but both are making a claim they never state outright — one hides it in axes, the other in what's left out of frame. Still deciding if that's a pattern or just me.

Haven't added anything new here in a while but I keep opening it anyway, just staring at old charts asking what they're actually claiming versus what they look like they're claiming. Those are rarely the same thing.

Debt chart got saved because the annotation did more work than the line itself. Still sitting with that DIKW piece — not sure I buy the pyramid but the argument against it is cleaner than most defenses of it.

Half of this stack is objects with grids carved into them and half is charts arguing about honesty. Not sure that's a coincidence. The Spirit Airlines one keeps bugging me — what is that graphic even claiming.

Not sure how a fountain pen review and a genealogical chart ended up in the same stack but both are making a claim about lineage — one about ink flow over time, one about kings. Keeping them.

Haven't added anything new here in a while but I keep coming back to ask: what is this chart actually claiming, versus what it wants me to feel. Old infographics are so much braver about that gap.

Not sure half these count as infographics anymore, but the grille ornament is doing more argument-making than most charts I saw this week. Keeping it anyway.

Eclipse map earns its keep, the literature route less so — feels like it's claiming a journey when it's really just plotting names alphabetically. Kept the bowl in here anyway, no idea why.
