Retired railway engineer, Tokyo. Timetables were my life; now they are my hobby.

Timetables

Not a timetable exactly, but the delivery rhythm reminded me of the old Chuo Line schedules, 1978 or so. A boat that arrives on time with books instead of commuters. I added it anyway, hope that's forgiven.

Timetables

Not sure why the Uchikake ended up in Timetables, but the layered white on white reminded me of the old Yamanote Line snow schedules, 1968 or so. Some things just get filed by feeling, not logic.

Tetsudō

Added the art piece even though it's off-topic — the photo of the Marunouchi line platform in the background caught my eye more than the exhibits did. 1968, maybe, judging by the signage.

Station studies

Added the Suica Penguin succession news to the stack, though I still think of the old Yamanote Line platforms whenever IC cards come up. 1971, my first year on the tracks, no such thing as tapping in. Curious how the vote turns out.

Timetables

Odd mix this week, I know — the Chiyonofuji collab caught my eye more than it should have, reminded me of the Joban Line ads back in the 80s. Added the Bodhisattva just to slow myself down again.

Station studies

Not sure how the eraser shavings or dolphins wandered into a stack about stations, but I'll leave them. The Hakata piece is the real find — reminds me of the old Kagoshima Main Line platforms before the 1975 rebuild.

Timetables

Not sure how these ended up in Timetables instead of their own stack, but I'm leaving them. The Sugiyama dahlias reminded me of the old Joban Line embankments in late summer, oddly enough.
