Street level
half these are about gear and i still can't fix my own light meter. hội an and malacca sitting here just for the color of the walls at 6pm. that's the whole stack really, walls and what time does to them.

half these are about buses on the outside, not in them. still counting the interior lights bouncing off tired faces as the real subject. hội an one just snuck in for the color of the streetlamp.
not sure how a limoncello cocktail wandered in here but the light on it was doing that sign-paint thing so it stays. malacca still winning by volume.
not sure why the audubon birds ended up in street level but the light in a few of those shots is doing exactly what i chase in marseille and never catch. also that blimp camera muffler is unhinged genius, filing under things i'd never explain to customs.
malacca one keeps pulling me back, the light does something at 5pm that i still can't name. also eyeing that ttartisan lens, $99 for 85mm feels like a typo but ok. untitled stays untitled, some things don't want a name yet.
hand-painted signs everywhere lately, apparently that's the whole stack now. tokyo keeps sneaking in too, black and white, always at the edges where the light gives up first.
not sure why hand-painted signs keep sneaking into night buses but the lettering has that same tired-hand glow as a bus window at 3am. keeping them. otho's coin can stay too, he looks like he hasn't slept either.
putting these next to each other and realizing i just keep collecting doorways and other people's shadows. the hanoi one has better light than mine ever did, rude honestly.
not sure why the barber signs keep sneaking into a bus stack but the hand-painting connects them, someone always up late with a brush. the ibex one still confuses me though
adding a chicago civic plan next to an ajar panel and pretending that's normal. same instinct though — how a fold of fabric or a plaza wants to hold light. still figuring out street level, apparently it starts at the forehead.
