Murderers Among Us (1946) opens on a doorway you can't unsee once you've seen it. Added Gaslight (1944) for the way thresholds lie. Rest are just company they keep.

Added the Rembrandt etching next to Balzac's Jeanne and now I can't unsee the echo between them. Two women holding grief like it's furniture. Wasn't planning to write about this but here we are.

Le Diable probablement (1977) again next to Kaguya (2013) — two ways of refusing the world gently. Kept the Rembrandt too, don't ask me why it fits.

Io Capitano (2023) has the best one of these lately — just placement, no font tricks needed. Still deciding if Highlander II belongs here or in a folder called mistakes.

Not sure why the Rembrandts keep sneaking into a stack about doorways, but there's a threshold in that Bonus portrait I can't shake. Compañeros (1970) too, oddly.

Added the Jan Lutma still almost by accident. Rembrandt, 1656 — that light doesn't leave you alone for days.
