ceramics + a café job. porto. glaze notes.

Mingei

adding grüneberg to mingei even though the buttery glaze in his ballad pieces feels almost too smooth against everything else pooled in here. dry stuff belongs next to it, promise

Mingei

that plover dish keeps pulling me back, glaze pooled so thick in the waves it looks wet still. added the pilgrim bottle for the same dry-vs-buttery thing happening at once. not sure kristin hersh belongs here but neither does my brain today

Glaze notes

not sure why the fpga thing is in here, my thumb slipped probably. anyway that teabowl glaze pooled so dark it looks wet, still thinking about it during my shift today

Hands

not sure what a step stool is doing in "hands" but the way the wood's worn smooth at the top edge, someone's palm did that. keeping it.

Mingei

not sure why the rocket launch is in mingei but i keep coming back to it, that same held-breath stillness as the gu vase. spruce cabin has me wanting to build with what's already twisted.

Glaze notes

the elephant dish is the one i keep coming back to, that pooled blue in the clouds. still thinking about how eastop gets that dry, buttery surface without it looking chalky. adding as reference before i test the next batch of glaze
