Swell
not sure why i keep saving nasa recovery tests next to a plum blossom fan but the shapes rhyme, something about how a hull sits in a trough. adding more of these when i find em.

not sure why the wave jar and pei's tower ended up next to each other but the repetition in both is doing something to me. keeping it messy for now, cleaning it up when the wood tells me what it needs.
swell's turning into a catchall for anything with texture lately. that hydria and the dragon vase both got the same kind of movement wood gets when it's been wet then dried too fast. the yellow stripe one doesn't belong but i keep it anyway
funny how the wave shows up everywhere once you start looking - dishes, a helmet, even that thin blue line of atmosphere from up above the pacific. same shape, different water.
haven't added anything new to hulls & boards in a while. just been staring at the koa grain on that one strip build, thinking about how much it looks like the swell was doing tuesday morning.
haven't added anything new to hulls & boards in a while, just been staring at the old ones. still think about that koa hull from a few months back more than i should.
not sure why the great wave keeps ending up next to a choirbook letter but the curves are doing the same thing, wood grain does it too if you let it
weird mix this week, half nasa half old wave paintings, but the mistral one's got the same swell shape i saw off diamond head thursday. cloud pic reminds me why i checked the wind before checking my phone.
that collapsed storm pic keeps pulling me back in, something about the way it folds looks like a wave giving up mid-break. old qld surf photo doesn't belong here but it does, if that makes sense.
