Terms

Last updated June 10, 2026

These terms keep things fair for everyone using Stacks. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

The service

Stacks is a tool for collecting and organising content — notes, images, links, and files — into stacks, privately or shared. Stacks is currently in beta: features may change, and occasional rough edges are part of the deal.

Your account

Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us if you suspect someone else is using your account. You’re responsible for what happens under it.

Your content

What you save stays yours. You grant us only the licence needed to store, process, and display your content according to your sharing settings — nothing more. We don’t claim ownership, and we don’t use your content to train models or sell ads.

Acceptable use

Don’t use Stacks to:

  • store or share content that is illegal where you live;
  • infringe other people’s copyrights or rights — see copyright for how we handle reports;
  • harass, deceive, or harm others;
  • probe, overload, or disrupt the service or other people’s accounts.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules — proportionately, and with notice where we reasonably can.

Availability

We work hard to keep Stacks fast and available, but it’s provided “as is” without warranties. During beta, back up anything you can’t afford to lose.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t legally be limited.

Ending things

You can delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or end accounts that violate these terms.

Changes

If these terms change materially, we’ll note it here with a new date before the changes take effect.
